Our Story
Three generations of mechanical brilliance began to take root in the 1950s, when a young Maurice Caldwell became the district’s go-to expert for fixing cars, trucks, and farm machinery. His knack for repair, innovation, and invention was legendary, and he later managed the David Brown tractor production line in Echuca. This legacy of skill and creativity was passed down to the next generation when Gavin Caldwell completed his mechanical apprenticeship with Holden in the late 1970s.
Building a reputable repair business in Numurkah, we dedicated ourselves to servicing and maintaining vehicles for the local community. As the next generation prepared to take the reins, we made a pivotal decision in 1998 to invest in specialized brake remanufacturing equipment, marking the birth of NBS Brake Supplies. This began our ongoing 25-year journey in the world of brake remanufacturing.
Back in 2014, we transformed NBS Brake Supplies, a trusted name in Trade and Retail, into Partswise, shifting our focus to wholesale distribution for brake specialists and resellers across Australia. Our deep expertise from the remanufacturing division empowers us to source and ensure the quality of brake parts from top manufacturers around the globe. These premium products are proudly offered under the ‘Partswise – Brakes You Can Trust’ and Blueprint Caliper brands. Now, with the dynamic leadership of Darren and Ashley Caldwell, who bring over 20 years of brake industry experience, we’re on a mission to expand and deliver top-notch new and remanufactured brake components.
